To access the new Data Privacy module in BackOffice, the IT Manager user profile must be selected in the User Personalization page.
To select the IT Manager user profile
- Click the
icon, enter User Personalizations, and select the relevant link. - Click the Manage - Edit action, and in the Profile ID field select the SECURITY ADMINISTRATOR profile.
- The client should refresh and show the Data Privacy in the top tab in the Role Center.
Clicking Data Privacy gives you access to the Data Subjects list where you use each data subject to export personal data into Excel.
The predefined Data Subjects in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central are:
- Salesperson/Purchaser
- Customer
- Vendor
- Resource
- Contact
- Employee
- User.
The Data Privacy Utilityis used to select Subject, Identifier, and Sensitivity.
