How to: View LS Forecast Entries

You can view the calculated and downloaded forecast entries on the LS Forecast Entries page.

To set up the Forecast Quality tiles in LS Replenishment Role Center

To delete LS Forecast Entries and LS Forecast Group Entries

In addition to that, for the items with LS Forecast Variant Grouping enabled, you can view the group forecast entries on the LS Forecast Group Entries page.

To view LS Forecast entries and LS Forecast group entries

  • Click the icon, enter LS Forecast Entries or LS Forecast Group Entries, and select the relevant link.
  • Alternatively, click the icon, enter LS Forecast Setup, and select the relevant link. In the LS Forecast Setup page, click Forecast- LS Forecast Entries or LS Forecast Group Entries to open the desired page.
  • The third option to view the relevant LS Forecast Entries or LS Forecast Group Entries is by clicking the tiles in LS Forecast - Forecast Quality or Forecast Quality (Group Entries) in the LS Replenishment Role Center.
    Note: To view the group entries by using the tiles in LS Replenishment Role Center, you must ensure that the Show Variant Grouping field has been activated in LS Forecast Setup.

Below are the fields in the LS Forecast Entries page:

Field Description
Batch No. This field shows to which LS Forecast Batch the entry belongs.
Forecast Bucket This field shows whether the forecast for the batch is calculated on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
Item No. This field shows the number of the item.
Variant Code This field shows the variant code of the item.
Location Code This field shows the replenishment location for the item.
Date This field shows the forecast date of the entry.
Forecast Quantity This field shows the forecast quantity of the entry.
Forecast Quantity (Lower) This field shows the lower fence or the "lower limit" of the forecast quantity.
Forecast Quantity (Upper) This field shows the upper fence or the "upper limit" of the forecast quantity.
Downloaded Forecast Qty. This field shows the forecast quantity of the entry downloaded from LS Forecast. For the entry marked as Calculated Forecast Entry, this indicates that the shown value is a pre-breakdown forecast quantity for the weekly or variant group calculation.
Downloaded Forecast Qty. (Lower) This field shows the lower fence or the "lower limit" of the forecast quantity downloaded from LS Forecast. For the entry marked as Calculated Forecast Entry, this indicates that the shown value is a pre-breakdown forecast quantity for the weekly, monthly, or variant group calculation.
Downloaded Forecast Qty. (Upper) This field shows the upper fence or the "upper limit" of the forecast quantity downloaded from LS Forecast. For the entry marked as Calculated Forecast Entry, this indicates that the shown value is a pre-breakdown forecast quantity for the weekly, monthly, or variant group calculation.
Forecast Quality % This field shows the estimated accuracy of the forecast in percentage.
Calculated Forecast Entry This field shows if the entry is calculated from weekly entries, monthly entries, or from LS Forecast Group Entries.
Forecast Method This field shows the forecasting model that was used to calculate the forecast.
Supported forecasting models are:
  • ARIMA
  • Seasonal ARIMA
  • Additive Blended
  • Multipl. Blended

To set up the Forecast Quality tiles in LS Replenishment Role Center

In the LS Replenishment Role Center, you can view the LS Forecast Entries and LS Forecast Group Entries via the tiles under LS Forecast - Forecast Quality or LS Forecast - Forecast Quality (Group Entries). The tiles are grouped by three types of forecast qualities - Good, Medium, and Poor , based on the setup in LS Forecast Setup.

  1. Click the icon, enter LS Forecast Setup, and select the relevant link.
  2. In the Forecast Quality FastTab, fill in the fields as described in the table below.
Field Description
Forecast Quality % Limit (Good) If an entry in the LS Forecast Entries or LS Forecast Group Entries has a Forecast Quality % that is equal to or above this value, the forecast quality is considered as Good.
Forecast Quality % Limit (Medium) If an entry in the LS Forecast Entries or LS Forecast Group Entries has a Forecast Quality % that is equal to or above this value, but lower than the Forecast Quality % Limit (Good) value, the forecast quality is considered as Medium.

If an entry in the LS Forecast Entries or LS Forecast Group Entries has a Forecast Quality % that is equal to zero or lower than this value, the forecast quality is considered as Poor.
Quality Check Period This field specifies the calculation period for the Forecast Quality and Forecast Quality (Group Entries) tiles in the LS Replenishment Role Center. This field accepts Date Formula only. The date formula is applied on the current date to decide the starting date of the LS Forecast Entries or LS Forecast Group Entries to be considered in the respective tiles.

To delete LS Forecast Entries and LS Forecast Group Entries

The LS Forecast Entries and LS Forecast Group Entries can be deleted periodically by setting up the Scheduler Job DELETELOGS and the Days Forecast Entries Exists field in LS Forecast Setup.

  1. Click the icon, enter LS Forecast Setup, and select the relevant link.
  2. In the General FastTab, fill in the Days Forecast Entries Exists field. This field specifies how far back in days to keep the LS Forecast Entries and LS Forecast Group Entries. All entries older than the defined period will be deleted if you enable the Scheduler Job DELETELOGS.
