If the setup is such that recommendations from LS Recommend are to be displayed on LS Central POS, the POS command RECOMMEND needs to be inserted manually.
The POS command can be obtained on the Retail Setup page: click the Insert Default Data action, and select the LS Recommend Data check box.
The POS command RECOMMEND has the following parameters:
- BASKET: If you want recommendation on the whole transaction, including the member or customer data.
- USER: If you want recommendation only on the member or customer in the transaction, that is excluding the items in the transaction.
- ITEM: If you want recommendation only on an item selected in the transaction. With this option, the member or customer or other items in the transaction are ignored, and therefore items that are currently in the basket can appear in the recommendation. Also, items that the customer has previously bought can appear in the transaction. Stock levels are also shown by default for this option, regardless whether the item is in stock or not.
