Loading Card Management
Loading cards are used to enable the customer to load items onto his or her order in different sections of a store or restaurant, and then pay for the order at a cashier POS terminal. The loading card number identifies his or her order through this process.
A typical process with loading cards is as follows:
On entering the store or restaurant the customer receives the loading card. The customer goes to different sections of the store or restaurant. In each section, his or her loading card is scanned or swiped on a POS terminal and items are added to his order. At the exit, his loading card is scanned or swiped at a cashier POS terminal. The customer can pay for more than just his loading card. Orders can be combined with his by scanning or swiping other loading cards so that the customer pays those orders, too. After payment is made, the loading card is no longer linked to this customer's order and can be handed to the next customer.
Note: Loading card usage is only valid when the POS terminals in the store are online.
