How to: Logon Staff in POS

This topic explains how to log on to a POS terminal using staff ID and password, barcode, and MSR (Magnetic Stripe Reader).

MSR card logon

There are three ways to log on to a POS:

1. Press the Logon button and type in the staff ID and password.
2. Log on by scanning a barcode.
3. Log on by swiping an MSR card.

• Define a password is defined in the Staff Card's Personal FastTab:

• On the POS Functionality Profile Card, activate the Staff Barcode Logonfield:

  

• You must also create a Barcode Mask of the type Employee.

1. On the POS Functionality Profile Card, the General FastTab, select the Allow MSR Cards check box.
2. Then on the Staff Card, create MSR cards for the staff:
